How to confirm Inbound LPN Deliveries.
| IN THIS TOPIC |
Once a shipper creates a new inbound delivery to your warehouse, you’ll need to confirm that you can receive it and schedule a delivery appointment.
⚠️ Before you start
Make sure to confirm new deliveries within 24 hours of the Requested delivery date. This is the date that shows next to the delivery on the Inbound Deliveries page.
You can also find the Requested date in the delivery details, under Delivery Information.
Confirming Deliveries
To confirm a new inbound delivery in Flexe:
1. Select Inbound Deliveries from the left menu, then open the New tab.
2. Select the delivery you want to confirm.
3. Set a delivery appointment/timeframe.
Go to the Confirmation of Delivery section in the delivery details to enter the Start Time and End Time that the delivery can arrive at your warehouse.
You can also enter Additional Shipping and Receiving Instructions, as needed.
4. Select Confirm Delivery.
Select Confirm Delivery to schedule the delivery for the appointment/timeframe you selected.
The delivery then moves to the Confirmed tab on the Inbound Deliveries page. The shipper also receives a confirmation email message, and can proceed with scheduling a carrier or transportation for the delivery.
Once the delivery gets to your warehouse, you’ll confirm its arrival as the next step. To learn more, go to Confirming Arrival of Deliveries.
Confirming Altered Deliveries
If the shipper makes changes to an inbound delivery after you've confirmed it (e.g. an update to the requested delivery date, or changes to expected items/quantities) the delivery automatically moves to the Alerted tab on the Inbound Deliveries page.
To proceed with the delivery, you’ll need to confirm it again:
1. Select Inbound Deliveries from the left menu, then open the Altered tab.
2. Select the delivery.
2. Review the changes, then select Re-confirm Shipment.
Details for the inbound delivery are automatically updated to reflect any changes from the shipper. Review everything again to make sure there are no conflicts.
Then, go to the Shipment Altered section and select Re-confirm Shipment.
Once you re-confirm, the delivery moves back to the Confirmed tab on the Inbound Deliveries page. The shipper also receives a new confirmation email message, and can proceed with scheduling a carrier or transportation for the delivery.
Confirming Arrival of Deliveries
Once a scheduled delivery arrives at your warehouse, you’ll need to confirm its arrival in Flexe to proceed with next steps in the inbound process.
To confirm arrival of an inbound delivery in Flexe:
1. Select Inbound Deliveries from the left menu, then open the Confirmed tab.
2. Select the delivery that has arrived.
3. Enter the Arrival Time.
Use the Date/Time dropdown to select the day and time the container arrived at your warehouse.
4. Select the Inbound Type.
Confirm how the delivery arrived:
- Palletized - Delivery contents are on pre-assembled pallets, and ready for storage.
- Floor-Loaded - Delivery contents are not already arranged on pallets; pallets must be assembled prior to storage.
Note: The inbound type you select determines how you’ll be paid--per carton or per pallet. You're not able to change this once selected.
5. Select Confirm Arrival.
Once you’ve entered the Arrival Time and Inbound Type, select Confirm Arrival.
The delivery then moves to the Arrived tab on the Inbound Deliveries page.
You can now proceed with unloading and receiving the delivery. To learn more, go to Receiving LPN Deliveries.
