How to confirm inbound deliveries to your warehouse.
| IN THIS TOPIC |
The Inbound Deliveries feature in Flexe helps you access and manage everything associated with the receiving process. You can use it to:
- View and check the status of your inbound deliveries. To learn more, go to Viewing Inbound Deliveries.
- Confirm scheduled inbounds.
- Receive inventory and/or purchase orders (i.e. PO Receipts). To learn more, go to Receiving Inbound Deliveries.
Note: If your warehouse or reservation uses the License Plate Number (LPN) system, follow the guidance in Inbound Deliveries for LPNs.
Confirming Inbound Deliveries
Once a shipper schedules a new inbound delivery to your warehouse, you'll need to confirm that you can receive it within 24 hours of the requested delivery date.
Containers
To confirm a new inbound container delivery:
1. From Inbound Deliveries, select the New tab.
2. Select the new container delivery you want to confirm.
3. Set a timeframe for delivery, then select Confirm Delivery.
Enter a Start Time and End Time that the container can arrive at your warehouse. Also add delivery instructions, as needed.
Then select Confirm Delivery to confirm that you'll be able to receive and unload the container during this timeframe.
Note: Make sure to confirm within 24 hours of the Requested delivery date.
Once you've confirmed an inbound delivery, it will automatically move to the Confirmed tab on the Inbound Deliveries screen. The shipper also receives a confirmation email message, and can proceed with scheduling a carrier or transportation for the delivery.
Confirming Altered Inbound Deliveries
If the shipper makes changes to an inbound delivery after you've confirmed it--for example, an update to the requested delivery date, or changes to included SKUs/SKU quantities--that delivery moves over to the Altered tab on the Inbound Deliveries screen.
When this happens, you'll need to re-confirm the inbound delivery:
1. Open the Altered tab, then select the inbound delivery you need to re-confirm.
2. Review the changes, then select Re-confirm Shipment.
Details for the inbound delivery are automatically updated to reflect any changes from the shipper. Review everything again to make sure there are no conflicts, then select Re-confirm Shipment.
Once you re-confirm, the inbound delivery moves back to the In Progress tab. The shipper also receives a new confirmation email message, and can proceed with scheduling a carrier or transportation for the delivery.
