How to navigate the Waves & Batches page and print batch documents in Flexe.

Navigating the Waves & Batches Page
Within the Waves & Batches page you can see all shipments waved. Each wave consists of one or more batches, which may each be picked by individual mobile users.
You can use this page page to print documents for picking, sorting (in the case of parcel shipments), and packing. You can also use it to monitor progress on each batch and wave throughout the fulfillment process.
Dashboard
The dashboard on the Waves & Batches page contains several important features:
Select a Warehouse
Users with access to multiple warehouse sites can select which they would like to view. Only one site may be viewed at a time.
Reservations
Use this dropdown to filter the page for only one reservation’s waves. The default option is All Reservations.
Select Filter
You can also apply filters to view batches based on specific criteria.
- Wave ID: Find a specific wave.
- Batch ID: Find a specific batch.
- Shipment ID: Find a specific shipment within a wave and batch.
- Staging Location: Confirm which wave is actively staged at that location.
- Carrier: Find batches for a specific carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
- Service Type: Find batches with a specific service type; such as Express orders which may need to be completed for early pick up.
- Ship By: Find all waved open shipments with a Ship By Date on or before the date input.
Refresh
This button refreshes the page and updates the status and progress of each batch accordingly. You can also view when the page was last refreshed.
Alerts
Select Alerts when a number appears beside it, to review any issues that occurred during the waving process. You will need to resolve any issues to wave the shipments affected.
| Alert Message | How to Resolve |
| "Could not wave [Shipment ID]. Item [SKU name] needs to be restocked in a pickable location." | When this occurs, check locations with this SKU to make sure they are in unlocked pick locations. If not, move or unlock inventory. |
| "A locked location is blocking the wave." | Review the location to see why it's locked, and unlock it as needed. |
| "Insufficient inventory to wave shipments." | Check inventory for this item. If none can be located, contact us at support@flexe.com for additional help |

"Unable to automatically split large shipment [Shipment ID]. Please manually split and wave again." Note: Only applicable to parcel shipments. |

Wave Status Filters
You can use the wave status bar to filter waves by their current status. Just select the status type you want to view:
- Active - All waves that are not completed or canceled.
- Not Started -All waves picking has not been started on.
- In Progress - All waves in the process of being picked, sorted, or packed.
- Completed -All waves that have been fully packed.
- Canceled - All waves that have been canceled.
Note: Only waves can be canceled. When a wave is canceled, the shipments will return to the Wave Template page to be waved again.
Next to the Status bar is an additional option to sort the waves by creation date:
- Newest - Sorts the waves from newest (first) to oldest (last).
- Oldest - Sorts the waves from oldest (first) to newest (last).
Note: Only 50 waves can show per page, to see more results click the left and right arrows next to the total results number.
Waves
Beneath the filter options on the main Waves & Batches page you can find the waves themselves and their details.
This includes:
- The reservation ID the wave is for
- The status of the wave
- How it was waved and when
- The Carrier and Staging Location (once selected)
You can use the Print All Batches option to print documents used for picking and packing from this page.
You can also view a snapshot of the picking progress for each batch in the wave, by selecting the arrow next to the total Batch number.
Wave Details Page
To view additional details and actions for a particular Wave, select the Wave [ID Number] at the top.
From the detail page, you can print documents and view current progress:
You can also view shipment details for all batches:
Canceling a Wave
If a wave needs to be canceled and the shipments re-waved:
1. Select the Wave ID to open the details page for the wave you want to cancel.
2. Select the menu (three dots) in the upper left corner.
3. Select Cancel Wave.
Printing Batch Documents
When you're ready to start working on a wave, select Print All Batches to print the batch documents for the entire wave.
If there are multiple batches in the wave, you can also print one batch at a time:
1. Select the arrow next to the total number of batches.
2. Select the menu (three dots) to the far right of the batch you want to print.
3. Select Print Batch.
Batch Documents
Batch documents provide mobile users with important information they'll need to pick the SKUs for all shipments in a batch or wave.
Parcel Shipment Batch Documents
Parcel shipment batch documents provide the following information:

Batch # - The batch count within the wave.
Batch ID - The unique batch ID. Batch # of # - The batch’s number relative to how many other batches are in the wave. Wave ID - The unique Wave ID for the batch. Summary of Requested Units | SKU - The sum of units and unique SKUs requested for the batch. Created at - The date and time the batch was created. Attributes - What type of shipments are in the wave:
Barcode - The barcode for the batch; the batch number is also included underneath the barcode. |
Freight Shipment Batch Documents
Freight shipment batch documents provide the following information:
