Overview
What will the Movements Log show me?
A task is any movement of goods within the warehouse. The Movements page can be used to determine the who, where, and when of mobile moves. Mobile moves seen on the Movements page can include Move Items for put away of inbound goods or relocating stored goods, or Pick Goods for picking an outbound order.
Life Cycle
Representation in 4 Tabs of Movements Page
- Not Started: An outbound order on which picking has not yet started.
- In Progress: An in-progress / incomplete movement. All active tasks are visible in this tab.
- Issues: A move that has been left in progress for more than 1 hour without being scanned to a destination, or a halted movement. Tasks are visible in the tab for up to 72 hours.
-
Completed: Any movement that has been completed in the last 48 hours.
Searching Movements
7 Available Search Fields
The fields below are searchable to help you locate Movements and address issues.
- Trip Type: Can be filtered to display Moves, Bulk Picks, Cluster Picks, and Rebin actions.
- Trip ID: Can be used to find all pallets picked for an Outbound Flexe Order ID or eCommerce batch.
- User Name: A mobile user’s name can be keyed in or selected from dropdown to locate tasks assigned to them.
- Company Name: If your warehouse has multiple clients using the locations system, you can filter by Company Name.
- SKU: Can be used to search for tasks performed on 1 specific SKU at a time by keying in the SKU number.
- LPN: Can be used to search for the move and pick history of a specific LPN on any LPN enabled reservation.
- Location: Can be used to search for the move and pick history of items that have been scanned in and out of a specific location.
LPN Reservation VS Non-LPN Reservation Movements
LPN Movements
Since pallets of goods on LPN reservations are tracked with an LPN, every task involving the movement of goods will include a unique LPN under the column header ‘LPN’.
Non-LPN Movements
On non-LPN reservations in which goods are not tracked with a unique identifier, the column header ‘LPN’ will still be visible, however, no data will be present underneath it.
Troubleshooting Outbound Orders Using Movements
Preventing Inventory Discrepancies and Losses
At the end of each business day, the Movement Log should be reviewed for any moves still present in the In Progress or Issues tab. This will help resolve any misplaced inventory issues.
Another issue that the Movement Log can help resolve is short picks. Sometimes a user is certain they picked an order completely, but the entire order is not in the Outbound location. In this case, the Tasks Tab can help identify what happened.
Perform a search either by User Name or by Trip ID(Trip Token). The Trip ID can be located on the Cluster Pick barcode or Batch ID printed by the office team. The Movement Log will display all picks that occurred for that outbound order. To navigate back to the outbound order, click on the blue hyperlink under “ID” at the far left.
