Scanning Labels
Keep in mind that carrier labels vary in appearance and layout. To make sure you're scanning the right barcodes for each label, it's important to understand these differences.
The sections below include guidance on where to find the barcodes you'll need to scan during the shipping process. For each carrier, the correct barcode is outlined in red.
UPS
| UPS | UPS Surepost |
FedEx
| FedEx | FedEx Smartpost |
DHL
| DHL | DHL eCommerce Parcel Plus Ground |
Note: While DHL offers its own barcode for eCommerce Parcel Plus Ground, they use USPS for last-mile delivery. For that reason, our system requires the USPS barcode to be scanned.

Label Placement
Proper placement helps make sure packages are delivered correctly, and in a timely manner. Here are some tips:
- Make sure all edges of the label are secure.
- Don't cover the barcode with tape or plastic wrap--this will make your barcode un-scannable.
- Make sure the label doesn't wrap around the edge of the package. The address side of the shipping box should be large enough for the entire label to fit.
Sorting Shipments By Carrier
Flexe recommends sorting packages by carrier after the packing process. Keeping carriers separate can help with mis-ship and/or lost package issues.
Finding the Shipper's PO
You can find the shipper's PO number for an order in the bottom right corner of a shipping label. This can help identify which shipments belong to the same order in the event of misplaced shipments.
Scheduling Carrier Pickups
