This guide explains how to troubleshoot common issues and error messages in the File Exchange tab.

⚠️ Before you start
Note: Direct API integrations and outgoing webhook messages do not appear within the File Exchange. Outgoing webhook messages can be viewed within the Flexe Developer Portal.
Purpose of the File Exchange Tab
The File Exchange tab is used for:
- Verifying if manually uploaded order files (CSV format) have been processed.
- Confirming the successful processing of EDI transactions.
Note: For more details on File Exchange, read Using File Exchange.
The File Exchange tab displays an error indicator in the first column of the table if any issues are detected with a file.
Types of Errors in File Exchange
- CSV Outbound Order Errors
These errors occur when uploading a CSV file to create retail or e-commerce orders on the Orders page. If the CSV order does not display as expected, the File Exchange tab can help identify the problem. Clicking the right arrow on the line reveals details about the error.
- Resolution: Review the error description, revise the CSV file, and re-upload it to resolve the issue.
2. Integration File Errors
These errors stem from issues within the file itself, such as incorrect syntax in the EDI file. Unlike the CSV errors, integration file errors do not retry automatically and require individual attention.
-
Error Indicators
- Red Error Sign: Click the right arrow next to the order and select the Errors tab to view the error details. Correcting the field/s involved and resending the EDI file will correct the error. If it remains unprocessed after an hour, contact your ops distribution or support@flexe.com so they can help file a ticket for the EDI file.
- Pending Status: This status appears if one or more fields do not match between Flexe’s integration and the data from the shipper, and the transaction has failed to push through. If a file is seemingly stuck in a Pending status for an extended period of time, please reach out to your ops distribution or support@flexe.com for assistance.
