How to add Customer Specific Attributes (CSAs) to a new or existing item catalog. CSAs allow shippers to store additional item data at the item level.
| IN THIS TOPIC |
Overview of CSAs
Customer Specific Attributes, or CSAs can be used to store additional SKU descriptors by utilizing optional and customizable fields. There are three different methods to add CSAs to SKUs in your Item Master:
- EDI/API Upload by working with the Flexe Integrations Management Team
- Single SKU Creation in the Item Master
- CSV Upload in the Item Master
Below are a few key details to keep in mind about CSAs:
- CSA's are informational attributes used for identifying characteristics about an item.
- They can be customized to display any attribute title you choose.
- They can be configured for up to 10 custom attributes.
- CSA values can be added to existing SKUs, or created for a new SKU.
- They can be added only to a select set of SKUs. This means they will be available for all SKUs, but can be left empty.
- Warehouses using Inventory Control will not be able to add or alter CSA fields, this can only be done through the shipper UI.
NOTE: CSAs are only visible to accounts which have had them configured, if you would like to set this feature up, please reach out to your Primary Logistics Analyst.
