How Partial Allocation works and its use cases.
| IN THIS TOPIC |
Partial Allocation allows the available quantity of a SKU to allocate to a freight order, even if that order requests more inventory than is currently available. The order will then subtract the quantity not available from the order and proceed as usual to process the order with the adjusted total.
When is it used?
Customers outbounding via freight order workflow that would prefer to ship out only the immediately available items for an order, and not let the order remain open with any remaining quantity for future fulfillment, may have use for this feature.
This feature is not available for parcel order workflows.
How to Enable
Partial Allocation can be turned on at the account level. This means that if/when it is turned on for a company, all orders will be processed. This feature must be enabled by Flexe.
