This SOP provides guidance on the Putaway process for loose goods using the Flexe device.

Terminology
Locations - Refers to a specific section of a warehouse, used to quickly find products.
Move Items - The process in which an item is moved between two locations using the “Move Items” function on the mobile device. It will be used to move products from storage to the Primary Pick Location.
Putaway - A process in which an item is dropped off physically and scanned to a storage location within the Flexe platform. This operation is performed via the “Move Items” function.
Flexe Device
This section will detail the process in which you move goods from an Inbound Staging location to a Storage location. This process can also be used to move goods from one location to another regardless of location category.
1. From the device’s home screen, click Move Items to begin the Putaway process.
2. Scan your Inbound Staging location.
- You may also scan a storage or QA location to move inventory from one location to another within your facility.
3. Scan SKU

Scan the SKU Barcode and select the quantity.
4. Choose the UoM
5. Enter quantity
6. When you have scanned all SKUs and entered quantities, select Putaway at the bottom of the device.
- You can review the items scanned before Putaway by selecting on the ITEMS or SKUs on the bottom of the screen. This will show you the SKU, packaging type selected and the quantity for all items scanned.
7. Putaway Goods
- Scan your destination location.
- Scan the SKU you are moving to that location and enter the quantity to drop.
- Repeat the process until all the items are Putaway. Goods can be deposited to any number of locations by scanning different locations before the SKU.
Exceptions
Resuming a Move
1. You can pause a move by backing out at any point.
- To resume a paused move, click Move Items app from the home screen.
- Click Resume and follow the steps from above.
Error Message
1. If you scan a SKU that is not in the location you’ve selected, you will see this error message pop up.
- Be sure the location you are moving inventory from is the correct location and the SKU being scanned is the correct item.
